EXPLORE Canary Wharf

In October 2024, Canary Wharf Group, a valued long-standing client of Luxury London Media, partnered with LL Studio to create EXPLORE Canary Wharf.

Due to the initial project's success, Canary Wharf Group decided to work with LL Studio to extend the EXPLORE Canary Wharf series by launching two additional publications: GIFTING Canary Wharf and WELLNESS Canary Wharf.

OBJECTIVES & EXECUTION: EXPLORE

Canary Wharf Group wanted to celebrate the launch of Eden Dock, a new waterfront public space developed in partnership with the Eden Project Cornwall, by communicating its dedication to sustainability, biodiversity, and green initiatives.

The client also wanted to reinforce the area as a vibrant and multifaceted destination by showcasing engaging content highlighting Canary Wharf's food and drink, arts and events, retail, and workspaces.

Luxury London Media’s design and editorial team worked closely with Canary Wharf Group to create EXPLORE Canary Wharf, a visually striking print publication incorporating elegant typography, high-quality photography, and a sophisticated layout. The bespoke newspaper was designed to capture the essence of the Eden Dock launch while showcasing Canary Wharf’s wider lifestyle offering.

The newspaper, printed on FSC-certified and 100% recyclable paper stock, produced compelling articles highlighting Canary Wharf Group’s sustainability initiatives and the importance of urban green spaces in the area. The newspaper featured local businesses, artists, chefs, and environmentalists contributing to the area’s dynamic landscape to position Canary Wharf as one of the go-to green destinations in the capital.

To generate data capture, a competition offering one lucky person the chance to win £1,000 to spend in Canary Wharf was featured in the newspaper.

Luxury London Media printed 10,000 copies of EXPLORE Canary Wharf, with half being distributed by Canary Wharf Group to the local tenants and residents. The additional copies were distributed via Address Intelligence, Luxury London Media’s in-house marketing agency, in a branded paper wrap to a highly targeted selection of recipients in the surrounding areas.


OBJECTIVES & EXECUTION: GIFTING

In November 2024, Canary Wharf Group wanted to highlight the premium and diverse selection of gifts available at Canary Wharf in the lead-up to the Christmas period. The client wished to provide exposure for participating retailers, reinforcing Canary Wharf as a premier shopping destination and encouraging festive shopping by inspiring customers with carefully curated gift ideas.

LL Studio developed a detailed content plan to bring the client’s objective to life. Our expert team of designers created a premium A5 Christmas gift guide with a bespoke layout along with compelling copywriting and festive aesthetics to elevate the Christmas shopping experience. Our editorial team worked closely with Canary Wharf Group to feature a mix of hero products across fashion, beauty, tech, home and food & drink categories. The team crafted engaging descriptions and brand-aligned messaging to inspire purchases while maintaining Canary Wharf’s tone of voice.

Following on from the success of the competition within the EXPLORE Canary Wharf newspaper, the client included a similar element to generate data capture within the Christmas Gift Guide in the form of a gift card to spend in Canary Wharf.

Luxury London Media printed 3,500 copies, which were delivered to Canary Wharf Group to be distributed across key high-footfall areas. The Christmas Gift Guide was digitalised into an online flipbook hosted on Canary Wharf Group’s website.


OBJECTIVES & EXECUTION: WELLNESS

Canary Wharf Group wanted to position the area as London’s premier destination for health, fitness and wellbeing. The goal was to highlight the diverse range of wellness-focused businesses such as gyms, spas, beauty services, healthy dining spots and lifestyle retailers while inspiring visitors and residents to prioritise their wellbeing.

LL Studio was tasked with conceptualising, writing, designing and producing a high-quality wellness guide, ensuring it resonated with Canary Wharf’s brand values.

Our design team of experts developed an engaging, informative and visually appealing A4 newspaper, printed on FSC-certified and 100% recyclable paper stock.

The editorial team created content around key themes: fitness, mindfulness, self-care, nutrition and workplace wellbeing. From interview-style features to curated ‘best for’ roundups, the guide offered diverse, inspiring content to engage readers.

To enhance audience engagement and data acquisition, the newspaper included an Ultimate Wharf Wellness Package offering one lucky reader the chance to win £1,000 to spend in a selection of wellness boutiques in Canary Wharf.

3,000 copies of the WELLNESS Canary Wharf newspaper were printed by Luxury London Media and delivered to Canary Wharf Group’s offices for the client to distribute across the neighbourhood.


OBJECTIVES & EXECUTION: EXPLORE

At the start of 2025, Luxury London Media collaborated with long-term partner Canary Wharf Group to produce the latest issue of the EXPLORE newspaper series; for Spring/Summer 2025 this took the form of a stylish 36pp digital edition.

The newspaper celebrates Canary Wharf as it is in 2025 – connected, green and growing – and its exciting future, focusing on the themes of community, culture and commerce. The LL Studio team handled everything from initial ideas and compiling editorial to image sourcing, design and production.

EXPLORE launched online in May 2025 on the Canary Wharf website, via a landing page containing some introductory copy and links directing readers to a digital flipbook. Within EXPLORE Canary Wharf, readers found everything there is to know about wellness in Canary Wharf, the neighbourhood's community spirit and foodie scene, exciting new areas like Wood Wharf, the first stage adaptation of The Hunger Games and all the brilliant activities, events and exhibitions taking place this summer.
